Marion Olsen's gallery
I am a Professional Classical Singer, who used a period of enforced rest in 1996, due to glanduar fever, to explore an inherited artistic ability. I held my first exhibition at the end of that year selling most of my work - then went on to buy bigger brushes and larger sheets of paper in order enjoy the wider possibilities of watercolours.
I did a Botanical Design Course at the Chelsea Physic Garden in 2001/2, passing with distinction, and often incorporate designs elements in my paintings.
In 2002/3 I did work experience with Cole and Son Wallpapers working with Head Designer Karen Beauchamp. This was followed by a short term contract working with Karen Beauchamp and American Desiger David Easton on The Richmond Collection for Cole and Son.
I have paintings in private collections in Great Britain, Paris, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand.
